1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal, (194606 H.G. GOORD. A.B. R.N. (R.M. on star), Imperial Service Medal Gvi, (HORACE GOLDSMITH GOORD). Large quantity of Original Paperwork, Photographs, Diary etc.

Born 1880 in Brighton.
1897 enlists in Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class, to Calliope rated as Boy 1st Class.
1898 to Mars, rated as Ordinary Seaman.
1900 to Duke of Wellington.
1901 rated as Gunner. To Alacrity.
1904 to Cressy.
1905 to Firequeen. Discharge by Purchase enrols in the Royal Fleet Reserve and becomes a Postman at Hove.
1914 Recalled to service posted to Minerva. Serves at Akaba destroying forts and barracks.
1915 on patrol Tenedos, Malta, Gallipoli landings etc. Patrols in the Aegean.
1917 serving on D.A.M.S. Cameron.
1918 supplies to Murmansk.
1919 Demobilised to shore and returns to being a Postman.
1962 Dies in hove.
