British War Medal, victory Medal, (J. 69658 J.R. STEVENS. BOY 1. R.N.), Defence Medal, Police Exemplary Service Medal Gvi, (INSPR. JAMES R. STEVENS).

Born Southampton 1901.
1915 enlisted as a Boy into the Training Ship Mercury where he played the Bass Drum in the Marching Band.
1923 James purchases his discharge from the Royal Navy.
Joins the Police Force and attains the rank of Inspector.
1974 death registered in Chatham.
