9060 JOHN ROBERTSON GUNNER ROYAL MARINE ARTILLERY.

John was born in Stow, Midlothian and entered the Marines in 1900, he served continuously until 1921 when he transferred to the Reserve with whom he served until 1932.
He served throughout World War One and was present at Jutland on board HMS Centurion.
He is entitled to the 1914-15 Star Trio and Long Service & Good Conduct Medal this he received 14.11.1916.
He also received 4 good conduct stripes.
