British War Medal, Victory Medal, (R. 865 A.J. MOTT. ACT. L.S. R.N.V.R.) Defence Medal, Special Constabulary Faithful Service Medal Gvi with additional clasps for Long Service 1948 & 1959, (ALFRED J. MOTT), Cadet Norfolk Artillery Service Medal for Services Rendered during the Great War 1915-17,(33 C.S.M. A.J. MOTT), hallmarked Watch Fobs on Albert, (E.A.C.C. STANDARD MEDAL A.J. MOTT.5TH 42M. 20S.
1933.) the other engraved to gold shield CADET NORFOLK ARTY.
Born Chelmsford 1899.
1917 called up from the Army Reserve and taken on the strength of the Royal Naval Division, Hood Battalion.
Wounded severely by Gas Shell in 1918.
Returned to the front being finally demobbed 1919 and returning to Norwich.
1940 joins Norwich city Police as a Special Constable.
1943 Special constabulary Medal awarded presented to him in 1949. He leaves the Constabulary 1960.
A keen cyclist he was a member of King's Lynn Cycling Club formed by his brother.
1965 dies from a heart attack.
Also included are copies of his Constabulary Service papers.
The Cadet Medal is VERY scarce and sought after.
