1870 Joins Tobago as an Ordinary Seaman.
1871 Promoted to Bos'un.
1873 appointed Second Mate Glenisla.
1874 to H.S. Stanes.
Up to 1901 serves on Welsh Girl, Pembrokeshire, Isle of Iona, Balmoral and Cockermouth.
1901 Joins Andorisika.
1915 Appointed Chief Officer Hong Bee.
1917 Appointed Second Mate Moona, then Chief Officer on Primo.
1918 appointed Temporary Sub-Lieutenant Royal Naval Reserve serving in Q. Ships. Appointed to Command the Minona then back to Sunhill.
1919 Posted to Isle of Arran. Receives his S.W.B. for Chronic Bronchitis from Haslar Hospital. Discharged from the RNR.
1926 dies in the Woodbridge District, Suffolk.
