(1892-????).

1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal,( S.S. 112405. W. WHITWORTH. STO. 1. R.N.), his Original diary covering the Chanak Crisis.

1892 born Royston, Oldham.
1912 enlists in the Royal Navy.
1914 on board the Colosous where he is shown as Run. Joins the Falmouth 1914 after his return.
1916 on board the Falmouth during the Battle of Jutland.
Suffers concussion after the Falmouth is sunk in August 1916 by German torpedo's launched By U66 and the next day by the U63 which finishes the job off and she sinks.
Demobilized in 1919 joins the Fleet Reserve, he re-enters service later the same year.
1921 to Pegasus.
1924 discharged to shore and re-joins the Fleet Reserve Possibly serving in World War Two.
