Born 1881 at Chelsea Workhouse Infirmary.
1896 Joins the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class.
1897 Boy 1st Class, to Doris.
1899 rated as Able Seaman.
1901 to HMS Cambridge.
1902 to Royal Sovereign.
1904 to Resolution then Swiftsure.
1905 discharged to Fleet Reserve.
1914 to Prince George.
1915 Bombardment of the Dardanelles, Fort Dardanos etc. Gallipoli, Suvla Bay landings, evacuation of Helles attacked by enemy submarine.
1916 rated as Leading Seaman, to Kingfisher.
1917 to Garth.
1918 Promoted to Petty Officer.
1919 Demobilised returns to R.F.R.
1922 receives his R.F.R.L.S.G.C. Medal.
Lived at 10 ~Hawkhurst Way, New Malden.
1954 dies New Malden.
