Price: £225.00

A Territorial Force War Medal awarded to 178, (later 905105), Gunner, George A. Farrant, who served with the Royal Field Artillery.

The details of his award are as follows:

Territorial Force War Medal named to 178 GNR. G. A. FARRANT. R.A.

FURTHER DETAILS:

Farrants’s Medal Index Card and medal roll entries, which can be viewed by clicking on here, on here and on here, (if you have access to Ancestry), although a paper copy of the MIC will be provided with this listing, indicate that he joined up as a ‘boy’ soldier in February 1910, and was made a trumpeter in July 1911.

There is also a reference to him having been admitted (sickness) to No 2 Field Hospital in May 1917, after three weeks in theatre.

No 2 Field Hospital was based in France, so based on this information it would appear that he arrived on the Western Front in April 1917. These same hospital records state that he was born in 1894.

I have been unable to locate any further service records relating to this man.

Price £225 - please read the terms and conditions below.
