Born Rochester 1918.
Seves as an Engineering Apprentice 1934-39 in the Merchant Navy.
1941 appointed temporary sub-lieutenant (e) R.N.V.R.
1943 joins Naval Party 841 a naval dockyard party destined for Italy landing at Sicily just after the initial assault. Confirmed as Temporary Lieutenant (E) R.N.V.R.
Awarded Mention in Despatches 1945.
After the war Cyril is a General Manager and Diredtor of Wallis Motors in Gillingham where he lives until his death in 1969.
