Alistair James Cappell MA, BA (Hons).
(1915-2006).

1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star clasp France and Germany, 1939-45 War Medal. Un-named as issued and mounted for wear.
Also included is his Father's issue slip for WW1 medals Killed as a Chaplin 4th class James Leitch Cappell attached to the Royal Scots.
Photographs, handwritten diary, pay book, Identity Book and much more.

Born King's Norton 1915. Educated at Exeter Clloege, Oxford.
Enlists 1940 as a Rating in the royal Navy (JX220695) then to the King Alfred R.N.V.R. for Officer Training, appointed as a temporary Sub-Lieutenant.
His diary entries cover May 1943 to March 1944.
During which time his Ship saved many souls. See article in Dixons Gazette Autumn 2013, R.J. Taylor.
He ends his Naval career as a Lieutenant in 1946.
Alistair dies in Whitefriars 2006.
