A WW2 medal group awarded to T/14441023 Private (Driver) Frederick Albert George Smith of the Royal Army Service Corps. Smith was born in October 1925 and enlisted in October 1943 on or around his 18th birthday.

He enlisted into the Service Corp (as a driver) and served in the UK until December 1945, after which he served 4 years with the British Army On The Rhine (BAOR). He left the service in October 1952. The details of his awards are as follows:

British War Medal unnamed as issued.

Defence Medal unnamed as issued.

BAOR Service Commemorative Medal (issued by Award Productions, RRP £44.99) named to T14411023. PTE. R. SMITH 1947-1952.

The WW2 medals are swing mounted with original ribbons the BAOR medal is supplied loose. In additional to his Army Council Medal Award Slip, along with these medals are a large amount of supporting documentation relating to Smith and his service, these include his:

Original Attestation Papers;

Record Of Service Card;

Soldiers Service & Pay Book; and

Regular Army Certificate Of Service Booklet that contains all the details of his service and or matters related to his career in the Army - issued to Smith when he left the service and entered the reserve.

I have undertaken no further research in regards to this man.
