Lieutenant Boger RNVR & BRCS one eyed Ambulance Driver and big game hunter
Alnod John Boger,
British War Medal (LIEUT. A.J. BOGER. R.N.V.R.).
Born in 1871 East Stonehouse, Devon.
Educated Winchester College then Magdalen College, Oxford, became a Barrister. He was also a Big Game Hunter, lost an eye in a shooting accident.
1914 volunteers as an Owner/ Driver and serves at Boulogne with No.1 Motor Ambulance Unit.
Joins the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve with the rank of Temporary Lieutenant serving at HMS Impregnable, Devonport.
1919 Demobilized returns to his ancestral home Wolsdon, Antony, cornwall.
1925 becomes the High Sheriff of Cornwall.
1936 Book published The Road I Travelled, his life in word and photographs.
1940 dies in an Oxfordshire nursing home.
