(1924-2008).

Continuous Certificate of Discharge, Permit with Photograph, 8 Various Diaries some WW2 dated and an Address Book, various Original Letters, Membership Books, Norfolk Navy Yard Pass 1943 HMS ACV.22, Telegram return to Merseyside forthwith dated 1944 etc.

Born 1924 in Shettleston.
Previous to the 2nd World War he was in the Boy's Brigade with the rank of Sergeant and living in Glasgow. At the outbreak of war he seems to have joined the 2nd City of Glasgow Homeguard.
His Certificate of Discharge shows him as serving from 1942 enlisted Glasgow, HMS Mersey then to Searcher.
1943 a member of the Drumpellier Cricket Club.
1944 Mersey appointed temporary Pay Sub Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve.
1945 to Khedive.
1946 to Mersey then Rocksand, Mersey, Boxer, Mersey.
1947 to shore for resettlement leave. Shown as Junior Assistant Purser then in 1946 as Senior Assistant Purser.
After the war he continues to serve in the Boy's Brigade.
2008 dies in Glasgow.
