In regards to these 'frequently asked questions', the use of the term 'buyer' mean the individual who is wishing to purchase or has purchased an item from this website, and the use of the term 'seller' means the individual who is responsible for 'listing' an item for sale on this website.
Q – How much does it cost to list items for sale on this website?
A – This is almost always the very first question people ask...so here are the prices:
Listing a 'Single Medal' for sale on this site, will cost:
£1 for 1 month,
£2 for 3 months, and
£3 for 6 months.
Listing a 'Medal Group' for sale on this site will cost:
£2 for 1 month,
£4 for 3 months, and
£5 for 6 months.
Q – Can I 'list' a medal for sale without having registered for an account?
A – No sorry, in order to 'list' a medal for sale you do first have to register for an account.
Q – Can I only 'list' British & Commonwealth Medals for sale on this website?
A – No, you can 'list' any medal from any country, but you do have to follow the guidelines as to what is a 'Single Medal', and what is a 'Medal Group', (see below), and put it in the correct category.
Q – Can I only 'list' medals on this website?
A – No, you can 'list' any other military related items within the 'Everything Else' section (see below).
Q – Can I only 'list' military medals on this website?
A – No, you can 'list' any type of medal on this website. If your medal does not logically fit into one of the pre-defined categories, please place it in the 'Orders, Decorations & Other Medals' section.
Q – What is classed as a 'Single Medal'?
A – A 'Single Medal' is classified as an individual medal with any supporting documentation, photographs, ephemera or associated medal cases, clasps and ribbons.
Q – What is a classed as a 'Medal Group'?
A – A 'Medal Group' is classified as anything that is not a 'Single Medal' but is an associated set of medals (including for example, a medal group to a single individual, medals to father and son/daughter, husband and wife, siblings a 'dealer’s lot' etc.) with any supporting documentation, photographs, ephemera or associated medal cases, clasps and ribbons.
Q – What is classed as 'Everything Else'?
A – 'Everything Else' is classed as anything military related, but is not classed as a 'Single Medal' or a 'Medal Group'.
Q – How many items can I 'list' for sale?
A – A registered 'seller' can 'list' as many items for sale as they like.
Q – Can I get a discount if I’m going to 'list' many items?
A – Yes, contact the website administrators by using the 'contact us' service on the website and we will be happy to discuss a discount.
Q – Do I have to complete the 'checkout' process at the end of every 'listing', I may have wanted to do more than one?
A – No, you are able to list as many items as you like before completing the checkout process. HOWEVER, if you feel that you will be 'listing' many items for sale on our website, contact the website administrators by using the 'contact us' service on the website and we will be happy to discuss a discount.
Q – If I make a mistake in placing a 'listing', what should I do?
A – You can correct your 'listing' at any time up until you complete the 'checkout cycle'. If you have already 'paid' and completed the 'listing' then contact the website administrators by using the 'contact us' service on the website, and we will correct the mistake on your behalf.
Q – If a 'listing' should 'finish' without selling, do I have to re-enter all the details again to re-list it?
A – No, a 'seller' has the ability to 're-list' an item for sale by using the 're-list' functionality in each individual 'sellers' account page – when this is used you do not have to re-enter the details but you can alter them if you wish.
Q – Has www.onlinemedals.co.uk Limited validated the items for sale on this website?
A – While Red Badge I.T. Services Limited, trading as www.onlinemedals.co.uk takes reasonable steps in administrating this website, due to the self-listing nature of the site, Red Badge I.T. Services Limited, trading as www.onlinemedals.co.uk cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of a 'sellers listing' and would encourage the 'buyer' to satisfy themselves in regards to all aspects of the 'listing'.
Q – Can I return an item that I’ve purchased?
A – This all depends on what 'returns policy' the 'buyer' has agreed with the 'seller' who sold the item, or what returns policy was mentioned on the 'listing' in the first place.
Q – I’ve forgotten my user name/password what can I do?
A – No problem, click on the 'Forgotten Password' button, and the details will be sent to you – following a security check.
