FURTHER DETAILS:

Bently joined up in January 1916 aged 22, and served with the 8TH (Service Battalion) Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards). His Medal Index Card can be found by clicking on here and his Medal Roll details which can be found here if you have access to Ancestry

He was discharged in January 1917 after receiving a gunshot wound to his left arm, his Silver War Badge number is 274244,

Sadly, these records do not provide any unit details.

According to the 1921 census details shown here, they are both still single and living at home at 192 Legraves Lane, Ledgett Lane, Bradford, Yorkshire. Louis can also be found on the 1939 Register however, his younger brother cannot be located.
