A Territorial Force War Medal awarded to 219161, Sapper (later Corporal) Joseph Swingwood, who served with the Royal Engineers.

Neither Swingwood’s Medal Index Card or medal roll entries, which can be viewed by clicking on here,  on here and on here, (if you have access to Ancestry), although a paper copy of the MIC will be provided with this listing, give any indication as to which theatre of war he served in, although his MIC does make a reference of him serving in the Royal Field Artillery (service number 687069), and his medal roll entry does state that he was assigned to a ‘Railways’ Engineering Company.
