A Territorial Forces Volunteer Medal named to 123 (later 905051 and then 736636) awarded to Gunner Arthur Daniel Potter who served with the Royal Field Artillery.

Potter was born in 1882, originally from Eastbourne he first signed up with the 2nd Sussex RFA in 1906. During the war years he served with ‘A’ battery, 221 Brigade in India (1916-17) and then in Mesopotamia until the end of the war.

He was ‘demobbed‘ in 1919. He was a labourer and plasterer in civilian life and it appears that he ‘signed on’ again in 1921 and served until 1924 with the 2nd Home Counties Brigade.
